Opening Thought:
Feelings can be loud, but they’re not always true. That’s why we walk by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7). As Christian men, we must learn to live by God’s truth even when our emotions tell us otherwise.
Reflection:
Feelings change. One day you feel confident; the next, uncertain. You may feel distant from God, unloved, or like a failure—but God’s Word hasn’t changed. He is still close (Psalm 34:18), He still loves you (Romans 8:38–39), and He still calls you His (1 Peter 2:9).
Choosing faith over feelings means anchoring your life in what God says, not just what you feel in the moment. It’s trusting that even when you don’t feel strong, God is still working. Even when you don’t feel like it, you can still obey.

Do I let my emotions lead me, or does my faith lead my emotions?

What truth do I need to hold onto today—regardless of how I feel?
Practical Ways to Walk by Faith Over Feelings
-
Pause and Pray – When your emotions rise, slow down. Ask God for clarity before reacting.
-
Speak the Word – Say aloud what God says about you, especially when you feel the opposite.
-
Act in Obedience – Do the right thing even when it’s hard. Faith is often a choice, not a feeling.
Personal Challenge:
Each day this week, write down one feeling you’re experiencing, and find a verse that speaks truth over it. Replace the emotion with God’s promise.
Closing Prayer:
Father, thank You that Your truth is greater than my feelings. Help me to walk by faith, not emotion. Teach me to trust what You say above what I feel. Let my life be led by Your Word and Spirit. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
