"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." – Proverbs 3:5–6
There comes a point in every believer's life where Jesus is no longer a backup plan; He becomes the only plan. The moment you truly realize that God is your only option is the moment your heart begins to surrender completely.
When life doesn’t go as planned and your desires fall short of fulfillment, it’s easy to become discouraged. But often, that’s where God does His deepest work, in the moments of broken expectations and failed attempts.
What you thought you needed—recognition, relationships, control, comfort—was never what your soul truly craved. You needed Jesus.
When you choose to go “all in” with Christ, you begin to exchange your ways for His perfect will, and His peace replaces your striving.
You’ll discover that what you wanted pales in comparison to what God planned. Going “all in” is not about perfection; it’s about complete surrender. It’s choosing obedience when it’s hard, trusting when it hurts, and worshiping even in the waiting.
Today's Reflection:
1. Ask yourself, “Have I given God my all, or just what’s convenient?” What areas of your life are you still holding onto control?
2. Write It Out: Make a list of things you thought you needed, but in hindsight, God showed you otherwise. Reflect on how those moments drew you closer to Him.
3. Faith in Action: Step out in obedience today. Is there something God has been prompting you to do that you’ve delayed or avoided? Do it in faith.
Lastly, you don’t truly know Jesus is all you need until He’s all you have. But once you do, you’ll never want to live without Him again. Go all in. He’s worth it.
Prayer Challenge: Each morning this week, begin your day with the prayer, “Jesus, I need You more than anything. I surrender my way for Your way. I’m all in.”
